Waybill tracks project items for interior designers, decorators, and home stagers. This page covers what information the app touches, and where it goes — which, for almost everything Waybill does, is nowhere but your own device.

Summary

Waybill's workspace — your projects, items, rooms, timelines, and photos — is stored locally in the app's private storage. There's no account to create, no server Waybill talks to, and no analytics or advertising code in the app.

Camera & scanning

Waybill can use the camera to scan an item's printed Waybill QR label or a supplier barcode, so you can find that item quickly. Scanning happens on-device using Apple's recognition framework; Waybill does not transmit camera images anywhere. If camera access isn't available or granted, you can always type a code in manually.

Photos

When you attach photos to an item, you choose them through Apple's standard photo picker. Waybill never sees your full photo library — only the specific photos you select — and stores a resized copy locally alongside that item's record.

Notifications

Waybill can schedule a local reminder when an ordered item runs late. These reminders are generated and delivered entirely on your device through Apple's notification system.

iCloud

Your workspace stays on your device by default. If you turn on team sync for a project, that project's items, photos, and updates are stored in iCloud using Apple's CloudKit — in your private iCloud database — and shared with the people you invite through Apple's iCloud sharing. Invited people see the project through their own iCloud accounts, with the read-only or read-write access you choose, and you can stop sharing at any time. That data is not stored on any server we operate, and we cannot access, read, or share it. Everyone on a shared project needs an iCloud account. Projects you have not shared are not sent to iCloud. Sharing is a Waybill Pro feature: if the owner's Pro subscription lapses, everyone on the project is shown a renewal notice for 14 days, after which the owner's app ends the share and other people lose access. The owner keeps the project and its data.

Exports you create

Waybill can generate CSV and PDF reports of your projects when you ask it to. These files are created on your device and go wherever you choose to send them — Waybill itself doesn't upload or transmit them.

In-app purchases

Waybill's Pro features are sold through Apple's App Store in-app purchase system. Your payment details are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy — Waybill never receives or stores your card or payment information. The app checks your purchase status with Apple to unlock Pro features, and does not send that information anywhere else.

Third parties

No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software is included in Waybill, and no data is sold or shared, because none is collected off your device to begin with.

Children's privacy

Waybill is a professional tool for design and staging businesses and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

Any feature that changes how Waybill handles your data will come with an update to this page before it's turned on for anyone.
